The trezor.io/start portal is your official launchpad for setting up a Trezor hardware wallet and installing the Trezor Suite app . It ensures you download the correct software, initialize your device, and follow best-practice security steps.


🔧 Setup Steps


  1. Visit https://trezor.io/start.

  2. Connect your Trezor (Model One or Model T) via USB.

  3. Install the Trezor Bridge if needed and download the Suite app for Windows/macOS/Linux .

  4. Initialize: create a new wallet or recover from a seed phrase—then write down and securely store your recovery seed (12/18/24 words) .

  5. Secure your device with a strong PIN and optional passphrase for hidden wallets .


🔐 How to Log In


  • Launch Trezor Suite (desktop or web).

  • Connect your device.

  • Enter your PIN directly on the device (randomized keypad), and passphrase if used .

  • This unlocks your wallet—no email or password required.


🔑 Logging Out & Auto‑Lock


To log out manually, click the user/device icon in Trezor Suite and select “Disconnect Device” .
You can also enable auto‑lock, causing the app to lock after inactivity so you’ll need to reconnect and reauthenticate to resume access.
